Where it all began: a former grand-ducal estate in the Tuscan countryside, just outside the hilltop town of Chiusi.
Once a hunting lodge for the Grand Dukes of Tuscany, Borgo Dolciano is an elegant villa with its own consecrated chapel, set within a centuries-old park and flowering gardens in the Valdichiana Senese.
The old farmhouses that once served the estate have been carefully restored, with beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and historic details intact. There is also a pool for long, slow afternoons.
